What to include

A few details up-front cut the back-and-forth in half:

  • The email on your Slidereel account.
  • What you were trying to do, and what happened instead.
  • A link to the video, project, or scheduled post if it's about a specific render or publish.
  • Your browser + operating system (e.g. “Chrome 124 on macOS”) if you hit a UI bug.
  • For billing questions, the Stripe receipt or invoice number.

Screenshots or short screen recordings are very welcome.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the most common questions. Anything not covered here? Email us — we'd rather hear from you than have you stuck.

Account & sign-in

I can't sign in to my account.

Slidereel uses Firebase Auth. Try the Google sign-in button if you originally signed up with Google; otherwise use the email + password flow on the sign-in page. Clearing cookies for tryslidereel.com resolves most stuck-session issues. If you still can't get in, email support@tryslidereel.com from the address on the account.

How do I delete my account?

Reply from your account email to support@tryslidereel.com with “Delete my account” in the subject. We'll confirm, cancel any active subscription, and erase your data per the Privacy Policy.

Where do I manage my Brand Kit, voice, and music defaults?

Inside the app under Settings → Brand Kit. Brand tone, CTA, target audience, color palette, voice persona, and default background music are all stored there and injected into every script and render.

Billing, plans & credits

How does the free tier work?

Every new account gets 100 credits on first sign-in, no credit card required. That's roughly one full 8-slide carousel with images, voice-over, and render. It's a one-time grant.

What do the plans include?

Three subscription tiers, billed monthly, quarterly, or yearly:

  • Starter — $19/mo, 700 credits/period
  • Pro — $49/mo, 2,100 credits/period (unlocks ElevenLabs voices)
  • Ultra — $89/mo, 4,200 credits/period

Credits roll over while you're subscribed. See the full pricing page for quarterly and yearly rates.

Can I buy credits without a subscription?

Yes — one-time credit packs are available:

  • Boost — $17.99 for 350 credits
  • Studio — $34.99 for 800 credits
How are credits spent?

Every AI operation is metered separately:

  • Script generation — 3 credits
  • Image per slide — 4 credits
  • Voice-over per slide — 1 credit
  • Render — 12 credits base + 1 per slide
  • Free Scene full generation — 30 credits (iterations: 10)
  • Talking Head analyze — 8 credits (+ 10 per generated slide)
  • Static image carousel — 3 credits script + 1 per slide render
  • AI caption (per generation) — 1 credit

An 8-slide carousel end-to-end (script + images + voice + render) costs about 63 credits.

How do I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel?

Open Billing inside the app and click Manage subscription — that opens the Stripe Customer Portal where you can change plans, update card details, or cancel. Upgrades are prorated automatically.

I was charged but my credits didn't update.

Credit grants run from a Stripe webhook with idempotency keys, so the charge eventually applies even if the page didn't refresh. Try reloading /billing. If credits still haven't shown up after a few minutes, email support@tryslidereel.com with your Stripe receipt and we'll reconcile.

Do you offer refunds?

Unused subscription periods and accidental purchases are refundable on request. Reach out at support@tryslidereel.com and we'll sort it out. See the Terms for the full policy.

Generation, editing & rendering

What languages and voices are supported?

Google Chirp 3 HD (default, all plans) covers 9 locales — en-US, en-GB, es-ES, es-US, fr-FR, fr-CA, pt-BR, de-DE, it-IT — across 8 personas (Aoede, Kore, Leda, Zephyr, Puck, Charon, Fenrir, Orus). Pro and Ultra unlock ElevenLabs in 32 languages with the professional voice library.

Which aspect ratios can I render in?
  • 9:16 — TikTok, YouTube Shorts
  • 1:1 — Instagram feed
  • 4:5 — LinkedIn
  • 16:9 — X / Twitter
How long does a render take?

A typical 8-slide carousel renders in 20–30 seconds. Renders run on a dedicated Cloud Run service using Remotion, so the time scales mostly with slide count and animation complexity.

Can I edit a video after it's generated?

Yes. The Editor (/edit) is a split-pane view with the script + slide editor on the left and a live Remotion preview on the right. You can rewrite copy, regenerate a single image, swap fonts, change the color palette, pick a background music track, and adjust per-element animations without re-running the whole script.

My render failed — am I charged?

No. Failed renders show a no-charge reminder in the completion modal and don't consume render credits. Free Scene failures also surface a Retry action in the gallery that re-runs with the original prompt, assets, and brand context.

Where are my videos stored, and for how long?

Rendered MP4s live in Firebase Storage and are retained for 14 days. Download anything you want to keep long-term, or post it directly from the scheduler before it expires.

Social publishing, scheduling & series

Which social platforms can Slidereel publish to?
  • TikTok — OAuth. Carousels publish either directly to feed (if your TikTok developer app is audited) or to the draft inbox for you to approve in the TikTok app.
  • Facebook Pages — OAuth, direct page post.
  • YouTube Shorts — OAuth, direct channel post.
  • Instagram — direct-to-feed for static image carousels.
Why did my TikTok post land as a draft instead of going live?

TikTok requires apps to pass platform audit before they can use the DIRECT_POST publish mode. Unaudited apps fall back to the draft inbox — you'll see the post inside the TikTok app under Inbox → Drafts and can publish it from there.

How does scheduling work?

Open /scheduler, drag a draft onto a time slot, or hit + New post. A cron job picks up due posts and publishes them; status flows pending → publishing → published (or failed after three retry attempts).

What's a Series?

A Series is a recurring automation: pick a list of topics, a cadence, target platforms, and a caption template. Slidereel generates and publishes a new video on schedule until the series ends. Manage them under /series.

Where do I see how my posts are performing?

The Analytics dashboard pulls per-post metrics (views, likes, comments) across TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube on an hourly sync, with a separate view for Series-level performance.

Privacy & your data

Do you train AI models on my content?

No. We don't use your prompts or generated content to train AI models without explicit consent. Details in the Privacy Policy.

Where is my data stored?

Account, Firestore documents, and media all sit in Google Cloud (Firebase). Payment details are handled by Stripe — we never see or store raw card numbers. Social OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest.

How do I export or delete my data?

Email support@tryslidereel.com from your account email and we'll handle the export or deletion within the timelines described in the Privacy Policy.
